As a seasoned entrepreneur, Mr. Wallinger has successfully founded, incubated, and scaled numerous companies, including York Space Systems, which emerged as one of only two space unicorns in 2022.
Under his leadership, York has grown from a single-person startup, with Mr. Wallinger as employee #1, into a multi-billion-dollar enterprise and the second-largest spacecraft provider to the U.S. Government. His strategic vision and leadership have consistently driven York's year-over-year growth, solidifying its position as a global leader in aerospace technology.

As the visionary behind Metro-West Appraisals, the largest real estate valuation company in the United States, Brett spearheaded a remarkable transformation, tripling revenue from 2012 until the company’s acquisition in 2022.
His expertise lies in developing and executing long-term strategies, driving business growth across multiple geographical markets, and streamlining operations to optimize productivity and enhance sales. Brett excels in strategic and tactical planning, leveraging lean methodologies to reshape organizational cultures and achieve sustained success.
Nicole Smith
Chief Financial Officer
Nicole Smith serves as Chief Financial Officer at York Capital Partners, bringing over 20 years of experience in accounting, corporate finance, and strategic advisory. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting and an MBA in Finance and Accounting. Nicole began her career in public accounting before transitioning into corporate financial leadership roles across multiple industries. Most recently, she successfully ran her own accounting firm, advising clients on growth strategy, compliance, and financial operations.
Nicole is known for her analytical precision, steady leadership, and ability to navigate complex financial challenges with clarity and confidence. Her work is driven by a deep commitment to integrity, discipline, and resilience—principles that guide every decision she makes.
Outside the office, Nicole is a proud mother of two teenage sons, including one who plays competitive travel hockey. Her ability to balance the demands of family life with executive leadership reflects the grit and determination that define both her personal and professional journey.
